Written by Martin Courtney

The acquisition gives the PC maker an addition to its software as a service (SaaS) portfolio, with a particular emphasis on email management, message archiving and business continuity of messaging platforms.

The company has recently expanded its SaaS options with a number of acquisitions as it tries to compete with rivals such as IBM, HP and EMC that offer complete packages of hosted services for UK business customers.

MessageOne is part owned by Adam Dell, the brother of Dell founder and chief executive Michael Dell.
