ICI signs AT&T for security

Deal includes web-filtering, virus-scanning and spyware-screening

ICI has signed up telecoms giant AT&T for managed security services across the congolomerate's global network.

The deal extends the existing contract providing a multi-protocol label switching-based network and IP-based virtual private network connecting 324 locations across the world.

The service includes web-filtering, virus-scanning and spyware-screening

ICI global information security director Paul Simmonds said: "ICI is taking a proactive approach to increase levels of network security across the organisation globally.

"Once this initial phase of deployment is complete, we will be looking to extend the protection to laptop users working directly on the internet."
