CA former head of sales to pay $30m

Sum is shareholder restitution for his role in the firm's $2bn accounting scandal

The former head of sales at software giant CA is to pay $30m (£15m) in restitution for his part in the $2bn (£1bn) accounting scandal that saw former chief executive Sanjay Kumar sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Former head of sales Stephen Richards pleaded guilty to conspiracy, securities fraud, perjury and obstruction of justice in 2006 and is serving a seven-year gaol sentence.

Kumar was ordered to pay $800m (£405m) in April. CA is to pay $225m (£114m) in shareholder restitution.
