Retailer
Instore,
which also trades as low cost outlet
Poundstretcher,
is implementing supply chain management software to cut costs across the
business.
The company is hoping to rapidlyoverhaul its entire supply chain management,
with a warehouse management system planned for implementation by the end of
summer.
It will also deploy modules for central data management, order management,
store inventory management, replenishment optimisation and automated allocation.
‘Instore needs to transform its retail estate while simultaneously improving
operational efficiencies across the business,’ said chief executive Trevor
Coates.
‘In order to sustain and accelerate this change, we need to have reliable
information systems that help us achieve our goal in a cost effective manner.’
IT director Les Thomas says Instore chose
Aldata software because it offers
a simple technical architecture that is easy to manage.
‘We are expecting significant business benefits to flow quickly from this
project and are keen to avoid large scale ERP implementations that could take
years,’ he said.
The Gold software suite is integrated and modular for flexibility of
implementation and will help Instore manage the supply chain across its 320
stores nationwide.
