Panasonic launch two home network cameras for added home security

Written by Andrea-Marie Vassou

Panasonic has launched two home network cameras that will allow consumers to monitor their homes whilst they are away.

The BL-C1 (wired) and BL-C20 (wireless) have built-in network web servers which enable consumers to connect directly to a personalised network from a PC or mobile phone.

Each camera unit has a 10x digital zoom function and multi camera capability which allows for images to be checked from three sets of four cameras. These can then be stored on the cameras internal memory which can hold up to 250 images at one time, depending on size and quality.

Both cameras also have a motion detection mode enabling the cameras to only capture images when motion is detected. The images can then be stored temporarily within the camera or sent directly by email or FTP data transfer.

The BL-C1 and BL-C20 are also preset for night use and automatically adjust when the room light is dimmed.

The BL-C1 and BL-C20 are priced at £80 and £150 respectively.
