Career development is the stand-out top priority when it comes to young accountants selecting their first employers, two recent survey reveal

Of course, money isn't everything.

Certainly not at first for everyone. Not one, but two recent surveys have found that career development is the stand-out top priority when it comes to young accountants selecting their first employers and deciding when to move on.

An Ernst & Young report found that 44% of graduates saw training and development as the most important consideration when weighing up a potential employer, while Robert Half highlighted a similar proportion, 42%, citing a clear career path and opportunities as the most important factors in job satisfaction. We will guess the AAT can keep its 70 grand.
