As far as accountancy firms go, Bentley Jennison is a relative newcomer. Founded in 1984, it has become strongly establised on the scene over the last 25 years.
The firm now has significant international connections, after signing up with the RSM network. The previous RSM member firm was Robson Rhodes, which turned over almost £90m before it merged with Grant Thornton. Bentley Jennison, which turns over £63.7m, will now have access to a network with financial resources on that scale, including US firm RSM McGladrey.
The firm has 14 offices in the UK, and big expansion plans. Managing partner Tony Stockdale has said he wants to recruit across the board, including at partner level, and see the firm move up to seventh in the list of the largest firms in the UK.
It is currently fourteenth in the Accountancy Age Top 50 league table.
