Two work colleagues were bemoaning how a mutual friend had jumped ship from Andersen Business Consulting and landed in the arms of competitor KPMG Consulting Inc.
A bit of a result you might think, until you understand he gave up his bonus to leave. Still, could have been worse, but it then turned out the rest of his colleagues joined him when KPMG took on several offices of ABC, all with their bonuses intact.
This may prove to have been exaggerated in the re-telling by the poor unfortunate's friends but it goes to show that sometimes it seems that loyalty does pay.
