Thomson Reuters' tax division opens offices in Singapore with the aim of expanding into China, Japan and India
Tax and accounting software provider Thomson Reuters has opened up a regional
headquarters in Singapore.
Tax and accounting executive Charlotte Rushton has been named senior vice
president and managing director of the new office. She will also have
responsibility for the tax and accounting division of Australia and New Zealand
and is tasked with growing the business in other regions including India, Japan
and China.
She will report to Brian Peccarelli, who was recently appointed president of
the newly created workflow & service solutions unit within the tax and
accounting division.
“Multinational corporations and accounting firms in the Asia-Pacific region
need to manage the growing complexities associated with new and increasingly
sophisticated tax regulations evolving in major economies in the region, such as
China, Japan and India,” said Peccarelli.
“We are committed to assisting these customers by providing a full suite of
tax and accounting software, research, and training solutions.”
