Confetti enters administration: RSM Tenon called in

RSM Tenon administrators have been
called in at Confetti, the UK’s leading retail and online wedding suppliers.

Kenny Craig and Tom MacLennan from RSM Tenon, have been appointed joint
administrators of the Manchester-based business which supplies invitations,
dresses and wedding insurance.

The RSM Tenon team have begun an “urgent search” for a prospective buyer with
a closing date for offers set for 5pm Monday 23 August.

After closing all five of the company’s shops in Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham,
Reading and London, the administrators said they want to focus on the
established online business, which recently won the “Best Wedding Website”
category in the BT Online Excellence Awards.

Craig, director at RSM Tenon in Glasgow, said: “Confetti is a very
high-profile market leading online brand and enjoys a large customer base.

“The business has great potential for further development and the
administration presents an outstanding opportunity for a retail business or
entrepreneur to acquire an immediate presence in the wedding and celebrations
market.”

Confetti employed approximately 94 staff with administrators retaining 46
jobs to support the online business.

The collapse comes just a week after Confetti was sold by Findel, along with
Iwantoneofthose.com, for £600,000 to The Hut Group, the
