PwC administrators sell Alexandra plc

PwC administrators have sold clothing retailer Alexandra and Prima Corporate
Wear to European clothing supplier Dimensions for an undisclosed sum.

Administrators Rob Lewis, Rob Hunt and Derek Howell, were appointed on 12
July to Alexandra and 14 July to Prima Corporate Wear.

Dimensons, one of Europe’s largest corporate clothing suppliers, bought the
business and certain assets as part of the sale. The deal will save an estimated
446 jobs in Thornbury, Bristol, Swindon, Langley, London and Uddingston, PwC
said.

There were 49 resignations and redundancies at both businesses from the date
of administration to the date of the sale.

Joint administrator Rob Lewis said the PwC team was “delighted” to secure the
sale and the preservation of so many jobs.

“The support of these stakeholders has been crucial over the last few weeks
and without their continued support the rescue of the business would not have
been possible,” Lewis said.
