Charles Smith has resigned as finance director of
YCO, the AIM-quoted
superyacht seller.
YCO said today that Smith was to be replaced by Ian Petts, FD of YCO’s
brokerage and management division.
“The resignation of Charles Smith and the appointment of Ian Petts are both
effective from 31 July 2010 and Charles Smith has agreed to remain as an adviser
to the group for the next six months,” YCO said in a statement to the City.
Charlie Birkett, YCO chief executive, thanked Smith for contribution and
wished him well for the future before congratulating Petts on his promotion.
“We are delighted to be able to promote Ian to the role of finance director,
” Birkett said.
“He has proved himself as an excellent operator who has already played a key
role in restoring the group to fiscal health.”
