Vantis employees find home at Begbies Traynor

Six senior people from Vantis join the tax practice at Begbies Traynor

Begbies Traynor, the listed accountancy company, has expanded its London tax
practice with six senior people joining from collapsed accountancy business
Vantis.

Don Mavin will become managing partner of Begbies’ London office having
previously been national head of tax disputes and litigation at Vantis.

Mavin brings with him members of his customs investigation and litigation
team consisting of Allan Brown and Martin O’Neill as directors and Simon
Sutcliffe and Ian Manly as consultants.

Other to take up residence at Begbies from Vantis include Peter Fairchild who
will provide private client tax advice and has particular expertise in the
sports sector.

Ric Traynor, executive chairman of Begbies Traynor said: “We are pleased to
welcome such a high calibre team of tax experts, further enhancing the Group’s
existing national presence in the specialist tax market.”

Vantis entered administration earlier this week having suspended trading on
the open markets two weeks ago.
