Michael Page UK revenues better than expected
Recruiter's revenues climb 9.2% on previous quarter - flat against a year earlier

Page’s UK fees were static for Q1 2010 compared to a year earlier,
but represented better than expected performance for the recruiter.
The UK, which represents 30% of the group saw revenues of £28.9m, flat
against Q1 2009 but up 9.2% on the previous quarter.
Globally the firm saw strong permanent recruitment, which pushed its group
revenues to £97.8m for the period – up 2.9% on Q1 2009.
Chief executive Steve Ingham said that the outlook for the UK, continental
Europe and North America was “less certain”, but it was experiencing an
improvement in almost all markets.
Its share price climbed 6.5p this morning to 430p.
