KPMG wins Punch, E&Y wins AMEX in audit swap

The auditor merry-go-round is spinning furiously.

Punch Taverns has awarded its audit to KPMG, having used Ernst & Young since 2002.

A tender process was initiated due to the length of time E&Y had served as its auditors.

Engineering business AMEC chose Ernst & Young to undertake its audit, replacing KPMG. The firm had audited the FTSE 100 company's books for 20 years.
