M&S' Dyson joins Betfair board

Ian Dyson takes on non-exec role at Betfair

Marks & Spencer FD Ian Dyson has joined Betfair's board as a non-executive director.

Dyson has experience in the gambling arena as FD of Rank Group. The Arthur-Andersen-trained accountant has also served in senior roles at Hitlon Group and Le Meridien.

He was flagged up as a potential successor to Sir Stuart Rose as chief executive at M&S, prior to Marc Bolland's appointment.
