Jerry Wales leaves M&C Saatchi after 15 years
Ad agency M&
C Saatchi has lined up a replacement group FD after Jerry Wales
annnounced his departure next March.
Current UK finance director Jamie Hewitt will take his place, and the pair
will work closely together on a handover.
Lord Saatchi said Wales had made an enormous contribution to the business
over the last 15 years.
“His commitment and endeavour have helped shape the company into its position
today as the world’s largest independent advertising network. I would like to
express my own thanks, along with those of the rest of the board, for Jerry’s
outstanding commitment and we wish him well for the future,” said Lord Saatchi.
M&C Saatchi’s profit before tax for 2009 is in line with management
expectations, at no less than £10m.
Hewitt’s current directorships include roles at Play London and Influence
Communications.
