Property investment company, Hawtin, has announced that is finance director
of 20 years is stepping down to pursue other interests, with the chairman to
oversee the finance function until a replacement is found.
Stephen Morgan, who qualified with KPMG, has been with the company since 1989
when he joined as group accountant. He was promoted to company secretary in
1998.
Hawtin has recruited Nicola Crickmore, who qualified with BDO Stoy Hayward,
as company secretary and financial controller following Morgan's departure
effective immediately. Crickmore was previously a board director for property
group Newport Holdings which chairman of Hawtin, Bob Carlton-Porter, was
previously executive director for.
Hawtin's has said that all financial matters will be overseen by
Carlton-Porter, who is a former finance director of English China Clays and
previous chairman of the Association of Corporate Treasurers, for the immediate
future.
The company has said that Morgan is to pursue other business ventures when he
steps this week.
