Lehman administrator avoids being voted off ICAEW council
Lehman joint administrator Tony Lomas narrowly avoided being voted off the
ICAEW council after his work kept him away for the sixth council meeting in a
row.
Lomas, a council member and PricewaterhouseCoopers partner, was unable to
attend his sixth ICAEW meeting in a row as his work on the Lehman Brothers
administration again kept him away from Moorgate Place.
Under its rules, his sixth non-attendance in a row meant a vote had to be
taken as to whether he should remain on council.
Some 29 councillors voted in favour of keeping him on council, 22 voted
against and 7 abstained.
The vote in favours ‘clears’ his record, and another vote cannot be taken
unless he fails to attend another six meetings.
