Agresso seals procurement deal with South Devon NHS

South Devon Healthcare integrates Agresso Business World and hopes to roll it out to other divisions

Written by Rachael Singh

An NHS Trust has converted all its technology to accountancy software providers Agresso in order to streamline its financial management information and procurement systems.

South Devon Healthcare carried out a system evaluation which revealed that their previous systems would not be able to cope with the increasing demands on the group. Instead it would benefit by having an integrated finance procurement system under the Agresso Business World package, replacing the previous legacy software.

Paul Dodd, director of finance South Devon Healthcare said: 'We were keen to modernise our systems to ensure that our financial management processes would be as efficient as possible.'

'We chose the Agresso system because we wanted a versatile and fully integrated system which we hope can grow and change with us as required, to support our requirements now and in the future. It is especially important for a financially independent Foundation Trust to have quick and easy access to vital management information at all times from any part of the organisation to inform business decisions,' he added.

The Trust hopes to integrate ABW into its Trust Estates Department in the future.
