Exact software keeps Canadian branding

Exact software forays into the corporate performance management technology arena

Written by Rachael Singh

Exact Software, a business software solutions provider, has integrated Canadian technology business Longview but has decided to keep its branding.

Exact, which focuses on back office accounting procedures, has decided that as big name brands such as Time Warner, John Lewis and Boeing recognise the branding of Longview for all its corporate performance management capabilities, it was best for the company if the brand remained the same.

The acquisition, which took place last year, saw Exact buy the software company for $51.5m on a cash free and debt free basis.

Jamie Stewart, UK managing director Exact said: 'We do not have any brand awareness for high level corporate performance management. Longview is one of the top 10 in Europe. This is why we have chosen to retain their branding.'
