Atos Origin signs £8m contract with ACCA

ACCA will work with the IT services company which will provide support from its UK and Kuala Lumpur offices

International IT services company Atos Origin has announced a five year contract worth £8m with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

The new contract will see the technology company take over the IT infrastructure of all 80 offices and centres worldwide, including the 122,000 members and 325,000 students.

Russell Price, ACCA IT director said: 'I believe that by working together we will be able to transform and improve our technology to deliver improved services to our students, members and employers.'

Atos Origin will provide services out of its UK office as well as its service desk based in Kuala Lumpur. The move was made to handle the deadlines for examination entries and examination results better.
