Dusanj brothers tipped for Cain bid

Brothers who rescued Cain in 2002 expected to try and buy business back

Written by Paul Grant

The Dusanj brothers are being tipped to buy the brewing and canning business of Cains Beer Company following its collapse earlier this month.

Bids for the business are due at midday today (22 September) and administrators PricewaterhouseCoopers are understood to have received 'dozens' of approaches for parts of the business. But it is the interest from Ajmail and Sudarghara Dusanj that is causing the biggest stir, according to the Morning Advertiser.

The Dusanj brother originally rescued Cain in 2002 and oversaw a reverse takeover with Honeycombe Leisure last year. They already own the brewery freehold and that of several pubs.

PwC is expected to name a serious bidder next week.
