Electrolux picks up new CFO

General Motors former exec to take up top finance spot at Electrolux

Electrolux has brought in Jonas Samuelson as its chief financial officer.

Samuelson joins the global retailer of home appliances from air treatment company Munters, where he was CFO and executive vice president.

Prior to joining Munters, he held a number of key roles for General Motors, including executive director of finance, North American sales & marketing operations, and director business planning and analysis GM corporation, where he was responsible for the global financial analysis and planning.

Lars Engström, chief executive officer Munters, said: 'During his time at Munters Jonas has been a key member of the group management team, and he has personally driven several successful strategic initiatives, including several acquisitions. Jonas solid business understanding and drive have been highly appreciated throughout our group, and we wish him the best of luck in his new role at Electrolux.'

Samuelson, who will begin his new role at the retailer later this year, takes over from Fredrik Rystedt who becomes CFO at Nordea – a Nordic financial services group.
