Change of guards at PwC’s London market group

PwC has a change of guards for its London Market and Lloyd’s insurance group

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has appointed Gavin Phillips, partner, head of its London Market and Lloyd’s insurance group and a member of the UK insurance leadership team. He succeeds Philip Calnan who will continue to work with clients both in the Lloyd's and London Market and the wider insurance sector.

Phillips, who started his career at Lloyd’s of London. has 15 years of experience in the PwC insurance and reinsurance practice, including three years spent on secondment to the US firm based in New York. During his time at the firm Gavin has undertaken assignments covering audit, financial investigation, due diligence and regulation. Gavin started his career at Lloyd’s of London.

He said he was ‘delighted’ to be taking on his new role at a time when the PwC practice was growing strongly.

'With the range of services and depth of expertise that PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP can provide its clients, I believe that our insurance practice, and London Market practice specifically, offer continued growth opportunities for both existing and new clients,’ he said
