The Big Four firms have all been awarded the CommunityMark award by Business in the Community for thier continued investment in the local community.
Deloitte, PwC, Ernst & Young and KPMG were all among the 21 companies that received the accolade.
Stephen Howard, Chief Executive of Business in the Community, said: 'It’s the highest achievement for companies that can demonstrate a long-term positive impact in their communities. It sets the bar high enough to give most business leaders vertigo.'
The other companies to achieve the Community Mark were; Barclays, HBOS, J Sainsbury, GlaxoSmithKline, M&S, Rangers Football Club, Npower, Tesco, Zurich, BT and Blackburn Rovers Football Club.
The CommunityMark was given to the winners at a reception at 10 Downing Street and was hosted by John Denham, secretary of state for innovation, Universities and skills.
