Written by Rachael Singh

Iris has unveiled its latest Software as a Service offering which allows customers to access the software online.

Iris Accounts Office and Iris Exchequer Online are now both available as SaaS where users are offered a web based application hosted and operated by the vendor.

The software deviates from traditional upgrade implementation, clients previously would have to install the software themselves, but with the web based package it can be done through the vendor during out of office hours.

Paul Sparkes, product director for IRIS Accounts Office said: 'There are a number of benefits for the growing business with web based accounting systems. These include lower costs for multiple locations, enhancements and patches are applied on a regular basis with no disruption to the user'.
