Lockeed Martin's Chris Kubasik has been tipped to win the chief executive job at BAE Systems.

Kubasik is thought to be the favourite to land the role which has come up for grabs as current chief exec Mike Turner prepares to leave BAE, the Sunday Times said.

The US-born accountant, who stepped up from CFO to become executive vice president of Lockheed Martin's Electronic Systems Business Area, will become BAE's first non-British chief exec if he is picked for the job.
