Anti-virus and security software vendor McAfee has appointed Albert Pimentel as its new chief executive following the departure of Eric Brown to Electronic Arts.
Pimentel, also known as 'Rocky', was previously CFO of Glu Mobile and takes up the position on 15 May. He has also worked as CFO at LSI Corp and Zone Labs, but his role at McAfee will also see him take on the mantle of chief operating officer.
Last year, the US Department of Justice filed charges against former McAfee executives for alleged manipulation of stock-option grant dates, according to Reuters.
