MCR called in for Eos Chapter 11

Administrators from Menzies Corporate Restructuring brought in to handle UK activities for the stricken airline

Partners from Menzies Corporate Restructuring have been appointed as joint administrators at Eos, the airline which is currently embroiled in a Chapter 11 case.

Geoff Bouchier and John Norris will be spearheading UK efforts to find buyers for the business or assets of Eos, which has taken steps to protect itself from creditors by filing a Chapter 11 petition in New York.

Eos Airlines ceased operations on 27 April after filing for Chapter 11 under the US Bankruptcy Code the previous day. The Code effectively shields troubled companies by stopping their creditors from taking certain actions related to debts that may have been owing prior to the commencement of the bankruptcy cases.
