Royal Parks cull sees KPMG vice chairman join board

KPMG’s vice chairman has been parachuted in to beef up corporate governance at the Royal Parks’ agency after a boardroom clearout

Ruth Anderson will be one of the heavyweights on a new look panel of non-executives at the government department which includes Andrew Fenwick, finance director of financial advisor Brunswick PR.

The NEDs will take on the responsibilities of the Royal Parks’ disbanded ministerial advisory board to ensure financial planning and strategy meet requirements.

The board has been tasked with providing a strategic overview, guiding and challenging the Royal Parks to ensure performance is maintained and improved.

Mark Camley, chief executive of the Royal Parks said: ‘I am delighted to welcome such high calibre individuals to the Royal Parks’ board. Their knowledge, experience and insight will be a great asset to the parks and I look forward to working with them to drive the organisation forward.’
