Federal prosecutors want actor Wesley Snipes to serve the maximum possible sentence for failing to file a tax return.
In court documents filed last Monday, they say Snipes' case ‘cries out’ for a maximum jail term, which is up to three years, according to Associated Press.
The star's lawyer said he had not reviewed the documents and would respond with his own pre-sentencing memorandum.
Snipes, who is set to be sentenced on April 24, was convicted in February of failing to file a tax return. He was acquitted of the more serious charges of tax fraud and conspiracy.
