Black loses prison delay bid

Convicted media magnate fails to worm his way out of prison after a judge rules that he must report to a correctional facility on Monday

Lord Black of Crossharbour has only three days left as a free man after his efforts to stay out of prison were shot down.

A Chicago federal appeals court said that Lord Black, Prisoner No 18330-424,would have to conduct the bid to have his sentence overturned from prison.

Lord Black ,who has been on $21m (£10m) bail at his waterfront mansion must now report to a low security Federal Correctional Institute in Florida on Monday.

The disgraced former CEO of the newspaper publisher Hollinger was given a six-and-a-half year sentence after being convicted of fraud.
