The FA is close to appointing investigators to carry out retrospective audits
on player transfer deals in a bid to stamp out corruption within the game.
According to reports in today’s press, Quest, the corporate intelligence
company employing forensic accountants, is among the shortlisted firms to be
considered for the role.
Quest undertook the Premier League bungs inquiry and is chaired by
Lord
Stevens, the former commissioner of the Metropolitan Police.
The news comes as the

and football agents called a truce in the long-running feud over new rules
banning payments by clubs to agents representing players they sign, according
the Daily Telegraph.
