Glasgow-based French Duncan and Edinburgh accountancy firm McCabes are merging to create a firm with a combined turnover of £10m, to rank ninth among Scotland’s biggest accountancy firms.
The merged entity to be known as French Duncan, incorporating McCabes, will have 20 partners, 130 fee earners and more than 150 employees.
Jeff Meek, managing partner of McCabes, said the agreement provided the base for significant expansion of the firm in audit, taxation, corporate finance, business recovery and financial services throughout the east of Scotland and beyond, Scotland on Sunday reports.
Under the terms of the agreement, which will formally take effect on 1 May, McCabes' three partners, Jeff Meek, Barry Laurie and Robert Clark, join French Duncan as partners.
