Tesco FD Andrew Higginson wins outstanding contribution honour at management accountants' awards bash

Written by David Jetuah

CIMA has honoured Tesco finance director Andrew Higgginson with an Outstanding Contribution to Business Performance award.

CIMA gave him the accolade in respect of Tesco's business doubling in size with a corresponding surge in profits during Higginson's ten years in the role.

Higginson was unable to pick up his gong in person because he was in the US overseeing investor visits to Tesco's new Fresh 'n Easy stores.

CIMA said: 'Andrew Higginson's extraordinary talents in financial management and strategic development have played a major part in Tesco's continuing success.'
