Kheraj moves onto Wellcome Trust committee

Naquib Kheraj to join senior industry executives on UK's largest charity's investment committee

Written by Penny Sukhraj

Former Barclays CFO Naguib Kheraj has joined the investment committee of the Wellcome Trust.

With £14bn under its management and heavyweight investors such as former Hermes head Alastair Ross Goobey and Newton Investment founder Stewart Newton, the trust is the UK's biggest charity and the world's second largest endowment fund.

Kheraj stepped down form his position at the bank in March but remained to assist with the failed takeover attempt for ABN Amro, the FT reported. He had a 10-year-career with the bank in its investment and institutional asset management division.

Other senior executives who recently joined the Trust's committee also include former CE of Bradford & Bingley Rod Kent and management consultant Tim Church of McKinsey.
