Mazars gains foothold on the Channel Islands through merger with local firm Moores Rowland Jersey

Written by AccountancyAge.com

Mazars has expanded into the Channel Islands through the merger with local practice Moores Rowland Jersey, a former member firm of Moores Rowland International. Mazars will be known in Jersey as Mazars Channel Islands.

The Jersey team will be led by former Moores Rowland Jersey partners Adam Budworth and Jason Lees-Baker. Rudi Lang, head of Mazars’ banking and financial markets group, will help co-ordinate activities in the financial services sector.

‘The presence in Jersey is an important step in servicing our clients. We believe the local financial services community will benefit from more competition and expertise in a complex sector,’ Lang said.

The deal is the latest in Mazars’ international expansion strategy. Previous developments include new offices in Germany, South Africa, India and China.
