Tilley to represent UK accountants at global forum

CIMA, US and Canadian institutes join forum panel

Charles Tilley, chief executive of CIMA will represent UK management accountants as part of an international forum, hosted by CMA (Certified Management Accountants in Canada) Canada in Montreal.

The third participant in what will be the first of three global forums will be AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants).

Tilley will attend the 'The 2007 International Financial Executives Leadership Forum' where he will take part in a panel discussion 'The Future Role of Finance' on 3 October.

He will speak about how CIMA works to equip its members to cope with ongoing trends within the finance function.

Other speakers on the panel will include Randy Fletchall, vice chair, AICPA and Steve Vieweg, president and CEO of CMA Canada

Next year's forum will take place in Washington, D.C. and the third set for London.
