ChoicesUK stores sold to Blockbuster

Blockbuster takes on a number of ChoicesUK stores, but many remain unsold

Written by Kevin Reed

A 'significant number' of ChoicesUK's retail stores have been sold by administrators from PricewaterhouseCoopers, however, dozens still require a buyer.

The Blockbuster Group has bought 59 ChoicesUK retail stores from administrators, securing 450 jobs.

But administrators are looking for buyers for a further 80 stores.

'Our priority now is to focus all our efforts on achieving a sale of all or part of the remainder of the store portfolio,' said joint administrator Nick Cropper.

The purchased stores will be rebranded as Blockbuster.
