Deloitte staffers star in film festival

Staffers at Deloitte's US office make YouTube-like movies for fim's film festival

Written by Penny Sukhraj

Deloitte's US firm launched a film festival today, featuring short YouTube-like movies made by employees on the theme of 'Whats' Your Deloitte'.

The firm initially offered the provision to 250 teams, who produced the films on mini cameras, but another hundred were soon created following intense interest from staff.

Other staffers are now rating the 370 submissions, which have been posted on the firm's intranet.

The firm said the film festival was an opportunity to build loyalty with Gen-Y staffers and said it plans to use the material garnered from the submissions as part of a recruitment drive at universities, WebCPA reported.

The film equipment is to be donated to non-profit organisations such as FilmAid.
