Despite suffering a setback in its tax shelters case involving former KPMG partners, the US government is set to file a new indictment in a case involving current and former Ernst & Young partners.
According to Reuters, the partners will face charges related to the sale of questionable tax shelters.
US prosecutors are expected to either file the indictment by a 13 December hearing or be close to filing it by then.
Those already charged include
Robert
Coplan, former national director of Ernst & Young's Center for Family Wealth
Planning; former Ernst & Young partner Richard Shapiro, who is currently on
administrative leave; and Brian Vaughn, a former senior manager at the firm.
