Only modest growth in PwC revenues

Firm manages just 6% rise on 2006

The UK's biggest firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers has announced 6% growth in turnover for the 2007 financial year to £2.1bn.

Underlying net revenue grew 9% and underlying profit grew 11% to £631m.

Its assurance business grew by 4% to £947m, while its tax arm increased 13% to £667m and turnover in advisory grew 4% to £493m.

UK chairman Kieran Poynter commented: 'Our results demonstrate the strength and diversity of our business and reflect the demands for an increasingly broad set of high quality services from our clients, with 72% of our turnover coming from non-audit services.'
