Manchester accountants earning £72,000

ICAEW survey reveals healthy pay in North West

Accountants working in Manchester and the North West are making a healthy living – a salary survey carried out by the ICAEW revealed that the average salary for chartered accountants in this region is more than £72,000.

Professionals working in the financial services sector in Manchester are the best paid, while accountants in the retail and wholesale sector tend to earn the least.

The ICAEW survey found there are pay differences between men and women, while female accountants are under-represented in senior roles.
