US government selects PwC and EDS for accounts work

Firms to provide services to US Defense Finance and Accounting Service

PwC and IT consultants Electronic Data Systems (EDS) have been named as two of four companies to provide work under a five-year, $500m (₤250m) contract to the US Defense Finance and Accounting Service.

EDS said it will provide technology services such as software development and maintenance of financial and accounting systems.

The other partners are General Dynamics Information Technology and Bucher & Christian Consulting, plus several small businesses.
