PwC to evaluate Swansea e-gov program

Firm to review £64m program

Written by AccountancyAge.com

PricewaterhouseCoopers will conduct a two year review of Swansea council’s e-government program, looking into its potential savings and value for money.

The program comprises a £64m first phase, called Resource@Swansea, which is expected to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery of the council’s finance, HR, payroll and procurement services.

Earlier this month the first phase of the program was launched with a new online purchasing system, while discussions about a second phase which would include a call centre and a face-to-face contact centre are ongoing.
