‘After a careful evaluation of both internal and external candidates, we felt Ron was the best choice as our new chief financial officer,’ chairman Mike Jordan said.

In March, Vargo and Tom Haubenstricker became interim co-CFOs to replace Bob Swan, who resigned to join eBay.

Prior to joining EDS, Vargo served as corporate treasurer and vice president of Investor Relations for TRW.

He began his career with General Electric, serving in a number of auditing and financial positions
