Chartered accountant Peter Michel, the sole principle of Michel and Co., along with his personal assistant, Simone Gallichan, have been found guilty of helping clients defraud UK tax authorities.

Michel was led out of the Royal Court by a police officer yesterday after Jurats decided he should be remanded in custody until sentenced, or tried on the nine counts remaining on his indictment.

Michel and his personal assistant, Simone Gallichan, were found guilty by the Inferior Number of the Royal Court of helping three clients cheat the UK public revenue through a web of companies.

The pair orginally faced a total of ten charges relating to money laundering and cheating HM Revenue & Customs out of millions of pounds.
