Marcus Alldrick, a security specialist with 13 years experience in the banking industry, has been appointed as KPMG’s principal advisor specialising in information security.

Prior to joining the firm, Alldrick spent six years at Abbey as head of information security, and before that spent seven years at Barclaycard as its information risk and security manager.

KPMG is hoping to grow its client-side advisory business, by 25% to 30% over the next twelve months.

Malcolm Marshall, head of KPMG’s information security business said information security was an increasingly complex area of risk for many businesses.

‘[Alldrick] will be working with clients on hot spot issues such as identity and access management and vulnerability management – defining and advising on implementation of processes which are key to success,’ he added.
