Deloitte auditors banned over Parmalat work

Former Parmalat audit partners banned from working on audits for two years by markets regulator

Audit bans have been handed out to two former auditor partners who worked for Deloitte on Parmalat.

Markets regulator Consob has banned Deloitte from using Adolfo Mamoli and Giuseppe Rovelli from working on audits for two years, according to the Financial Times.

However, Mamoli has retired and Rovelli is involved in other work for the firm.

Deloitte said it had full confidence in the work of both men, stating that it was misled by Parmalat's managers.
